Freelance Friday: ASJA Content Connections 2013

Want to learn more about content marketing? Looking to make connections with brands and other writers? If so, head to ASJA Content Connections 2013 in Chicago on November 7-8. You will also have an opportunity to meet me as well. I am going to be on the panel “Getting the Gigs: Working with Content Marketing Clients” at 2:30 on Thursday. I’ll be expanding on a lot of the topics that we talk about here, such as finding clients, earning a high wage and writing amazing content marketing deliverables so all of your clients turn into long term clients. I love sharing about content marketing writing on this blog and am even more excited talk about the topic in person.

If you can make it, I highly recommend coming to the event. The registration fees are reasonable considering the amount of content and networking opportunities—$190 for Thursday and $290 for both days with discounts for ASJA members. I went to my first ASJA Conference in April and found it very helpful both in terms of meeting other writers, learning about new markets, and—even more importantly—refueling my excitement for my job. Sometimes working alone at my kitchen table can feel a bit lonely, but conferences help give you real life connections you can reach out to when you have question or just to shoot the breeze.

Anyone planning on coming to the conference? If so, definitely introduce yourself to me!
